Where in the world is Lisa Hunt?

Not too many magazine's can boast that they have one of the "The Worlds Greatest Travelers"™ on their sales staff! While most people use their precious vacation days to relax on a beach, our very own Midwest Advertising Manager, Lisa Hunt opted to go on the journey of a lifetime! Lisa left Chicago mid-April to begin a 23-day adventure around the world on The Great Escape Foundation's "Global Scavenger Hunt 2005." This remarkable foundation organizes a worldwide scavenger hunt for 50 lucky travelers chosen after a difficult application and interview process. The participants raise $40,000 for different humanitarian organizations around the world such as Doctors Without Borders, Unicef and CARE.

Similar to the Amazing Race, teams competed to earn the most points in each country based on tasks completed such as locating unusual local fruits, a temple, or an artist in any given city or village. After three weeks of intensive planning, problem solving, and traveling throughout 11 countries including Hong Kong, Macau, India, Egypt, and the Czech Republic, Lisa and her partner won the race and were dubbed the "new reigning queens of travel" according to the official scavenger hunt website, and crowned "The Worlds Greatest Travelers."™
